Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024

The first German-born player to win the Art Ross Trophy as the leading point scorer in the NHL, the Hart Memorial Trophy as regular season MVP, and the Ted Lindsay Award for most outstanding player, Leon Draisaitl is not one to shy away from pulling off moves that put him in highlight reels all over the league, with many coming his way due to the fact that he serves as the right-hand man to the Oilers other superstar, Connor McDavid. The 3rd overall pick of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, offered here, and hailing from a rookie season that saw him skate in thirty-seven (37) games, is this stick used by Draisaitl. A Reebok made Ribcore Tri Matrix model twig with "L. Draisaitl" factory graphics over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original tape job of blue cloth and white over the handle/knob and black over the entirety of the blade. Having had an Oilers hologram numbered "10205" affixed to the upper portion of the shaft on the forehand side, the stick shows just light game-wear via a light layer of now dried gripping agent over some areas of the shaft, a small number of marks and abrasions over the shaft and lower shaft and a few marks over both sides of the blade tape as well. Having been signed by Leon over the forehand side of the blade with a white marker ink signature that displays without issue, it is also worth mentioning that there is a bit of wear to the toe of the blade along the bottom edge that has resulted in a couple of tears.
