Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
An integral component of the well-oiled production machine that was the Edmonton Oilers during their glorious 1980s heyday, Glenn Anderson would contribute to the club greatly with three seasons of eclipsing the 100-point total, with participation in four All-Star Games during the era. A six-time Stanley Cup champion, offered here, we present this stick used by Anderson as a member of the Edmonton Oilers in the mid-1980s. A Canadien 6001 model with "G. Anderson" stamped over the shaft and his number "9" penned above in black marker ink, the stick retains Anderson's original tape job of white over the shaved handle/knob while majority of the original black blade tape has been removed to facilitate Anderson's bold black marker ink signature that displays without issue. Having had a hologram from ProAm Sports affixed to the forehand side of the heel, the stick displays excellent game-use throughout via numerous marks/abrasions over the shaft, lower shaft, heel and remaining blade tape.
