Concluding his HOF career as the highest scoring European-born-and-trained player in NHL history, Jari Kurri was a member of five Stanley Cup championship squads with the Edmonton Oilers and represented his native Finland at every international level. From his time in Alberta as a member of the Oilers, we present this stick used by Kurri circa 1985. A KOHO 2210 Silverfibre model twig with "Kurri" stamped to the lower shaft, the stick retains its black cloth wrapping over the knob and shaft while the blade tape has long since been removed to facilitate Kurri's bold blue marker ink signature, which still displays wonderfully despite its age. Having also added an annotation reading "Best Wishes" as well as the year, "1985", in matching ink that displays in the same condition, it is worth mentioning that there seems to have been an additional notation penned as well, perhaps a personalization, that has been removed with only very light evidence of its former existence being observed. Having had Kurri's number "17" penned over the upper shaft in heavily faded blue marker ink, the stick shows just light game-use via a few marks/abrasions throughout the length of the shaft, lower shaft, heel and blade, with the heaviest cluster over the lower shaft and heel area while tape residue is present on the blade itself.
