Two inviting complete sets of Topps’ 1958 and 1959 CFL releases are up for grabs here as part of this lot, with the assembly’s each containing 88 total cards and hailing from seasons that saw the Winnipeg Blue Bombers defeat the Hamilton Tiger-Cats for back-to-back Grey Cup championships. Starting with the earlier of the two assemblies, the group presents in the uniform condition range of EX to EX-MT throughout its entirety. Including the key rookie cards of 28-Gilchrist, 40-Ploen and 84-Shatto, the first two are both seen as being in the vicinity of EX to EX-MT condition with the Gilchrist sporting light corner wear and the Ploen a slightly faded reverse while the Shatto is around EX-MT to NM but off-center. Closing out the set, also present are the notable offerings of 16-Getty (EX to EX-MT - slight corner wear at the bottom and off-center), 18-Parker (EX to EX-MT - slight corner wear), 54-Faloney (EX-MT to NM - slight fuzz at the bottom left) and 67-Kwong (EX to EX-MT - slight wear at the top left corner).
For the 1959 set, in the overall condition range of EX to EX-MT with some NM offerings spread throughout, the group is affected by very slight corner wear at the top left of majority of the cards while card #2 of Cornell Piper is in a low-grade state. Led by key rookie cards of 45-Coffey (EX-MT to NM), 56-Jackson (EX-MT to NM) and 72-Mosca (EX-MT - very tiny ding at the top left), other notable cards include those of 1-Rauhaus (VG-EX to EX - bottom right corner ding), 15-Dorow/Checklist (VG to VG-EX - unmarked - miscut - off-center), 30-Patterson (VG to VG-EX - miscut - off-center), 39-Getty (EX to EX-MT - miscut on the reverse), 40-Kwong (EX-MT to NM), 43-Parker (EX to EX-MT - small ding at the bottom left), 44-Barry/Checklist RC (EX to EX-MT - unmarked - off-center) and 63-Shatto (VG-EX to EX - light corner wear and back slightly faded).
