A hometown boy who played all but 49 of his 242 Ontario Hockey League games in the green and gold of the London Knights, Brett Welychka would help the Knights to back-to-back OHL championships in 2012 and 2013 before playing three (3) seasons of Canadian university hockey with the Carleton University Ravens. Enjoying a short amount of time in the American Hockey League before embarking to play overseas, offered here is this Knights jersey worn by Welychka throughout the 2012-13 OHL regular season and playoffs plus the 2013 Memorial Cup in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Made by Reebok and displaying both size "54" and Reebok/CHL labels affixed to the inner collar, a Reebok wordmark logo patch has been added over the reverse neckline while a CHL league crest is in place over the reverse hem. Styled over the front of the jersey with an additional Reebok patch over the left breast and a Knights logo that includes embroidered details throughout, the classic lace up style garment has been accented with an OHL patch and 2013 Memorial Cup emblem over the right breast. Styled over the sleeves and verso with Welychka's number "27" in single layer cream twill numerals, "Welychka" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed green twill nameplate at the top of the reverse. Sporting matching alternate logo crests over both shoulders, the jersey displays with good game-wear throughout including numerous team repairs over both sleeves, stick marks over the lower front and both sleeves, board burns over both sleeves and reverse, unrepaired holes over both sleeves and in the left armpit and finally, heavy pilling on the interior. Regarding the previously mentioned photo-match, the jersey is matched with Getty Image #168413975 (May 5thm, 2013 vs Barrie - 2013 OHL Finals Game 2) to the team repair at the yoke of the right shoulder and stick mark in the top cream stripe of the right sleeve.
