Some different poses/photos than seen on their O-Pee-Chee counterparts have always made Topps cards from the early-1970s fun to check out with this complete 1972-73 Topps assembly no different. Featuring a checklist of 176 cards in all, an increase from its previous efforts of 132-cards, the offered assembly has been further enhanced by the fact that twenty (20) of the cards included have been graded by the professionals at PSA. Including a trio of key examples that features the likes of #100 Bobby Orr (PSA NM-MT 8), #160 Ken Dryden (PSA NM-MT 8) and Gilbert Perrault (PSA MINT 9). For the rest of the graded cards, included are PSA MINT 9's of 28-Rupp, 43-Polis, 82-Burrows RC, 112-Lonsberry, 139-Flett, 161-Robert RC and 162-Marshall, PSA NM-MT 8's of 6-Playoff Game Five, 27-McCreary, 59-Schock, 69-Meloche RC, 76-Miller RC, 83-Croteau, 98-Foley RC and 100-Luce, a PSA NM 7 of 74-Favell and finally, a PSA EX-MT 6 of 150-P. Esposito. For the rest of the set, found to be in the overall condition ranges of EX to EX-MT and EX-MT to NM for its efforts, the key cards found in their original raw ungraded state include the likes of 18-Dionne (EX - tiny ding at the bottom right and a surface bubble), 20-T. Esposito (EX-MT to NM - slightly off-center), 24-Plante (EX - factory print line on the surface), 61-NHL Goal Leaders (P.Espostio/B. Hull - G to VG - light but large crease at the top left), 62-Orr AL (EX-MT to NM - print line beside "Orr"), 63-NHL Scoring Leaders (P. Esposito/B. Orr - G to VG - surface bubble at the top right), 79-Lafleur (EX to EX-MT - 2nd year card - light corner wear), 90-Clarke (EX-MT to NM - print line at the top border), 94-Checklist (G to VG - unmarked - corner wear and a small crease), 122-Orr AS (EX to EX-MT - wear to bottom two corners), 126-Hull AS (EX to EX-MT - slight corner wear) and 127-Dryden (EX-MT to NM - print line at the top border). With some of the other star cards in the set found to be in the same condition as the overall grade range of the assembly, it should be noted that #'s 8, 14, 38, 42, 45, 124, 130, 141, 152, 158, 170, 171, 172, 173 and 175 are condition exceptions due to creases or other defects.
