Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
Serving as one of the greatest goals in history and routinely compared to both Paul Henderson’s 1972 Summit Series winner and Mario Lemieux’s 1987 Canada Cup-clincher, Sidney Crosby’s golden goal electrified our hockey-centric nation, and announced to the world at large that this is still our game. Honouring the famous 2010 Olympic overtime winner, we have a pair of signed framed photos from the 2010 games including an image of the Golden Goal, along with a Nike Team Canada Crosby alternate captain's jersey. Both 8" x 10 photos, one has Crosby celebrating right after scoring the famous goal, while the second shows Sid the Kid proudly waving the flag. Each double-matted and framed to full dimensions of approx. 19 1/2" x 19 1/2" (Golden Goal) and 17 1/2" x 21 1/2" (flag waving), each is signed in blue sharpie, with holograms from Frameworth affixed and COAs to accompany. The jersey has "54" sizing, with tackle twill team crest and numbers, and it remains in like new condition.
