Named Best Goaltender at the 2002 Winter Olympics, Nikolai Khabibulin was drafted by Winnipeg in 1992 and backstopped 5 different clubs in the NHL. The Russian netminder also made appearances at 4 NHL All-Star Games. From his final of four seasons in Edmonton, we have a photo-matched Oilers retro jersey worn by Khabibulin in 2012-13 - specifically during the months of March and April. "Goalie Style” and size “58” labels grace the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests over the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the familiar oil drop team crest, the white V-neck has been accented with layered tri-colour tackle twill sleeve and verso numbers, with “Khabibulin” across the affixed nameplate in single blue twill. Sporting light to moderate game-use, there are a few puck marks to the front of the jersey. Getty Image #164749745 (March 26, 2013) has been matched to the circular indentation mark within the top left section of the team crest, with the dark line beneath the "S" of "OILERS" on the team crest also visible. A MeiGray patch numbered "JH05599" is sewn to the inside hem near the "Set 2" team patch, and according to the company's population report, the jersey is a "White Retro Set 2" specimen. An Oilers/MeiGray LOA will accompany.
