Originally selected by the Florida Panthers but never playing for the club, Zach Hyman spent six NHL seasons in Toronto with the Maple Leafs, scoring over 150 points and becoming a fan favourite of the blue and white faithful. Moving on to the Edmonton Oilers beginning with the 2021-22 season and recently completing a 2023-24 campaign that saw him register 54 goals and 77 points in 80 games played, offered here is this stick used by Hyman in the early portion of his career-high in goals season, specifically on October 17th, 2023 against the Nashville Predators when he registered a goal, his first of the year, and three (3) assists in a 6-1 Oilers victory. Additionally, the four (4) point game also matched a single-game career high in points for Hyman, something he has done three (3) times in his career. A Warrior Covert QR5 Pro model twig with "Hyman" factory graphics over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original tape job of white wrapped around the handle/knob which has had his number "18" and a "3" penned to it at the top and bottom in black marker ink while black covered in stick wax is found over the blade. Signed by Hyman over the lower shaft/heel area with a silver marker ink signature that displays without issue and having had an Oilers hologram affixed to the backside of the upper shaft, the stick exhibits light-to-moderate game-wear in the form of marks and abrasions over the lower shaft, heel and untaped sections of the blade while a few others are found over the upper shaft and both sides of the blade tape as well but in a lesser quantity. Regarding the photo-match, the stick has been matched with Getty Image #1745582682 and #1730510956 (October 17th, 2023 vs Nashville) to the long thin scrape over the forehand side heel, to the placement of the tape on the upper shaft and to the penned number "3" at the bottom of the handle tape.
