Described as “giant” on the display box housed the coveted wax packs containing bubble gum and cards from Parkhurst’s 1953-54 hockey release, the complete 100-card assembly is offered here, led by a group of PSA and SGC graded specimens that includes the key rookie card of “Le Gros Bill” that has garnered a PSA mark of EX 5 for its effort, other noteworthy graded examples include cards of #24 Maurice Richard (PSA EX 5), #50 Gordie Howe (PSA EX 5), #53 Gump Worsley RC (PSA EX+ 5.5), #40 Red Kelly (PSA EX-MT 6) and #13 Tim Horton (SGC NM-MT 8). For the rest of the set, found to be in the overall grade range of VG-EX to EX throughout with light amounts of discolouration on many of the borders, exceptions within the assembly include about ten (10) to fifteen (15) cards that show wax stains over their backs while the included copy of card #73, picturing Larry Zeidel of the Chicago Black Hawks over the front, is creased and affected by a wax stain on the reverse.
For the rest of the cards, key examples include those of 1-Lumley (VG to VG-EX - discoloured), 11-Armstrong (VG - tiny scuff over the top edge of the front), 25-McNeil (VG-EX to EX), 26-Harvey (EX - slight corner wear), 28-Moore (EX - slight corner wear), 29-Geoffrion (VG-EX to EX - small ding at the top right corner), 30-Lach/Richard (EX to EX-MT), 46-Sawchuk (VG-EX to EX - small stain over the bottom border), 47-Delvecchio (VG-EX to EX - light border discolouration), 52-Lindsay (VG-EX to EX - light corner wear), 56-Bathgate RC (EX - light border discolouration) and 57-Howell RC (EX to EX-MT).
