Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024

Successful at every level throughout his lengthy two-decade career in professional hockey, Rob Blake earned a James Norris Trophy along with a Stanley Cup, with gold medals won while representing Canada at the World Championships and Winter Olympics. This stick was used by the star defender during his time with the Los Angeles Kings in the late-1990s/early-2000s, with this specific model of stick seeing use in his competent hands from approx 1998 to 2002. A Bauer Supreme model with “R Blake” stamped to the upper shaft, the stick retains the original black cloth wrap on the handle with white tape knob, while the blade tape has been removed to facilitate a beautiful black ink signature that Blake has penned, with the autograph displaying well. A handwritten “79” is also found over the top of the knob (we sold a matching model previously with “22” handwritten to the knob with this possibly signifying the 79th game of the season). Exhibiting light game-use, there are a few marks visible to the shaft.
