Found in 1956 as a military club, HC Dukla Jihlava, called “Dukla” as a tribute to the Czechoslovak soldiers who fought alongside the Red Army against (Nazi) Germany at the Dukla Pass, one of the Carpathian passes that connect Slovakia with Poland, are one of the most successful clubs in the history of Czech hockey, winning a total of twelve (12) Czechoslovak Extraliga in all, including a run of seven (7) between 1966 and 1974. Featuring an alumni list that sports names such as Jiri Crha, Dominik Hasek, Jaroslav Holik and Igor Liba among others, offered here is this HC Dulka Jihlava jersey that dates to circa 1982. A lightweight construction garment of a t-shirt like material and void of any labeling on the interior, the jersey measures out to roughly a size "46" and features a classic tie-neck style collar which still has its original lace fed through the eyelets. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Dukla Jihlava team crest that features embroidered details, the sleeves and verso have been accented with the number "2" in traditional Eastern European style drop-shadow yellow-over-black-over-white cotton twill letters. Showing evidence of a once applied long nameplate at the top of the reverse, its removal has created some unrepaired holes around the perimeter while the rest of the jersey shows wear via light stick marks and board burns over both sleeves, red board paint transfers over the lower reverse, popped seams in the yellow stripes of the lower front and reverse and lastly, pilling throughout the interior and exterior.
