A three-time Art Ross Trophy winner during the 1960s, Bobby Hull also led the Black Hawks to the club's first Stanley Cup championship in over 20 years, defeating Gordie Howe and the Detroit Red Wings, in 1961. Hull also won the Hart Memorial and Lady Byng Trophies during the decade, and scored over 50 goals a season four times. Offered here, we present this Hull game stick that dates from the mid-to-late-1960s and has been signed by its original owner. A Northland Custom Pro Glass Fused model, “B Hull” appears stamped over the shaft while additional stamps from "Larson Industries" and team supplier "Gunzo's" grace each side as well. Featuring a mostly intact striping accent over the lower shaft, the stick predates Hull’s 1968 auto accident as evidenced by the absence of a custom-notched handle on the top of the shaft. Displaying with a worn white tape job over the handle/knob and black over the entirety of the blade, it should be noted that neither style matches up with what Hull used during his career but everything else about the stick appears proper. For this reason, we are offering this vintage lumber example as a game stick only and not giving it a "game-used" title. Exhibiting wear via numerous marks and abrasions throughout the length of the shaft, lower shaft, heel and blade, it is also worth noting that light wear is seen over the underside of the blade as well. An overall fantastic offering, "The Golden Jet" has signed the forehand side of the banana hook twig with a dark black marker ink signature that displays without issue, adding his legendary nickname inscription and famed #9 number alongside it while a hologram is affixed at the very end. A pair of COA's will accompany the stick for the autograph.
