Regarded by many to this day as the greatest hockey player to ever lace up a pair of skates, the name Gordie Howe is synonymous with the game loved and played by so many across the world. In a career that spanned over five different decades from 1946-71 and 1973-80, fans and players alike will still find Howe’s name near the top of the all-time leaderboards all these years later. Also still one of the most collectable and collected players in the hobby, offered here is this watch presented to Howe as a gift for his participation in the "Spirit Returns" game on January 25th, 1985 at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto that saw alumni from Team Canada's 1972 Summit Series squad take on an All-Star Team of NHL Alumni. Made by Timex the square black and gold coloured face shows a Timex logo as well as "The Spirit Returns - Jan 25 1985". Featuring a black leather band that reads "Genuine Leather Canada" on the underside, the watch remains in overall excellent condition despite its non functioning state with only light marks on the underside. Accompanied by the original suede pouch, box and papers, the watch originates from Howe's estate and comes with an LOA signed by both Mark and Marty Howe.
