Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2025
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 4/29/2025
In 1992, the Pittsburgh Penguins marched through Chicago, sweeping the Blackhawks on their way to their second of back-to-back Stanley Cup Championships. Among their ranks was a young Czech named Jaromir Jagr who blossomed into a superstar, even scoring one of the all-time highlight goals in the finals. This CCM classic black Penguins away jersey is in excellent condition and sports the 1992 Stanley Cup Finals patch on the upper right chest and Jagr’s clear signature is applied in black marker across the Penguins front crest. On the inside collar, a JSA sticker (M90105) and an hologram by Authentic Memorabilia are affixed to the inside tag. The left shoulder patch honours Head Coach Bob “Badger" Johnson who died in 1991, while the right shoulder patch commemorates the 25th anniversary of the franchise. On the back, Jagr’s nameplate and #68 sit above the CCM and NHL logo. This series would prove to be Jagr’s last NHL championship but he would go on to become the second highest scorer (points) in NHL history. Don’t miss your chance to claim this piece of Jagr’s legacy.
