This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
First donning the red, white and blue colours of his birth country, the United States of America as a member of the United States National Team Development Program before going on to play with the University of Michigan in the NCAA, Cam York, currently playing with the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers, would once again don the USA colours at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships in 2020 and 2021, captaining Team USA to gold in 2021 with a 2-0 win over Canada in the gold medal game. Offered here, we present this Team USA jersey worn by York at the tournament in the team's exhibition game against Finland on December 22nd, 2020. Made by Nike and sporting both size "56" and "Made in Canada" designations screened on above an IIHF Authentic Collection tag that has been affixed to the inner collar, an IIHF logo patch has been added over the reverse hem while a Nike swoosh logo has been added over the right collar bone. Decorated over the front of the jersey is a sublimated vinyl Team USA crest that has been heat-pressed on, the distinguished captain's "C" has been heat-pressed over the left breast while the sleeves and verso have been decorated with York's number "4", once again in heat-pressed on numerals with the one on the reverse a dual layer ventilated style. Also displaying sewn-on Chipotle sponsorship patches on the upper portion of each sleeve, "York" has been spelt out in single layer blue twill letters that have been heat-pressed onto the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the back. Displaying a Nike Team Sports barcode inside the reverse hem, the jersey displays with no obvious signs of game-wear from having been worn in only a single contest though the captain's "C" shows some fading from being scorched in the heat-pressing process. A COA from the AHL will accompany the piece.
