Defecting from the Soviet Union to come to North America and play in the National Hockey League, Alexander Mogilny would play in 990 games during his NHL career with Buffalo, Vancouver, New Jersey and Toronto, joining the esteemed "Triple Gold Club" after winning the Stanley Cup with New Jersey in 2000. Scoring a career high of 76 goals during the 1992-93 regular season, offered here is this Maple Leafs jersey worn by Mogilny during the 2003-04 regular season and Stanley Cup playoffs. Made by Koho with a lone size "50" tag affixed to the inner collar, a Koho patch has been added over the reverse neckline of the tie-neck style garment while the NHL shield has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a vintage style Maple Leafs team crest that has had "Toronto Maple Leafs" and other details embroidered into it, the sleeves and verso have had Mogilny's number "89" sewn to them in single layer blue twill numerals while "Mogilny" is spelt out in matching style letters across the affixed matching nameplate at the top of the reverse. Exhibiting good game-wear, stick marks are seen over the lower front, reverse and both sleeves with both sleeves also sporting numerous board burns as well. WIth an additional battle scar in the form of a team repair present over the left elbow and pilling on the interior at both elbows, a MeiGray tag numbered "B08661" is sewn inside the reverse hem, with the company's population report listing the jersey as a "Third Set 2 / Playoffs" specimen. Accompanied by a matching LOA, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #50895883 (April 22nd, 2004 vs Philadelphia - Eastern Conference Semifinals Game 1) to the stick marks that are observed throughout the lower front of the jersey.
