Perhaps best remembered for his famed “Mayday Goal” in the opening round of the 1993 playoffs against Boston, Brad May would suit up for 1041 NHL games over the course of his career. Originally selected 14th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in 1990 and playing for a total of seven (7) National Hockey League teams in 18-years, May would finally hoist Lord Stanley's Cup as a member of the Anaheim Ducks in 2007. Offered here, we present this jersey worn by May while playing with the Colorado Avalanche during the 2005-06 season. Made by Reebok and sporting a lone size "58" label affixed to the inner collar of the classic tie-neck style garment, a Reebok logo patch has been added over the reverse neckline while an NHL shield emblem has been sewn over the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with “Colorado” going diagonally down the chest in tri-layer tackle twill numerals, matching primary logo patches are found resting on top of each shoulder and the franchise's 10th anniversary patch has been added over the left breast. Having been accented over the sleeves and verso with May's number “10” in matching tri-layer tackle twill numerals, “May” is spelt out in single layer white twill letters arched across the affixed matching nameplate. Worn in a pair of games throughout the second half of the season, the jersey exhibits just light game-wear via a light stick mark over the right elbow and fraying around areas of the collar. A 2004-05 MeiGray Group patch with serial number "C02736" has been affixed to the lower inner hem, as well as an added “2005-06 Season”, with their population report states that this jersey is a “Third Set 2” example that is accompanied by a matching LOA. Additionally, the jersey has been photo-matched with Getty Image #116935246 (February 28th, 2006 vs Minnesota) to the loose back threads that can be seen at the near side edge of the "1" on the right sleeve and to the visible bit of white under layer plus its placement around the edge of the "0" on the reverse.
