Drafted by Los Angeles before three strong junior seasons that included scoring 191 points in 1985-86 for Hull in the Q, Luc Robitaille spent the majority of his HOF career in Hollywood, spread over three different stints. Now serving as Los Angeles' President, offered here, and hailing from the 1999-2000 season that saw him register 74 points in 71 games played, is this Los Angeles Kings jersey worn by Robitaille. Made by CCM and featuring both "Made in Canada" and size "56" labels affixed to the inner collar while the emblems of the NHL shield and CCM have been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front of the jersey with a Kings team crest that features textured and embroidered details throughout, "Los Angeles" is spelt out in single layer textured silver twill letters across the front hem. Sporting the distinguished alternate captain's "A" over the left breast and matching alternate logo patches that have been placed over both shoulders, the NHL2000 patch that was worn by all the league's teams throughout the season has been affixed over the right breast. Having had Robitaille's number "20" sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer textured silver-over-purple tackle twill numerals, "Robitaille" is spelt out in single layer textured silver twill letters that have been sewn directly to the the jersey across the upper reverse. Void of any usually seen handwritten notations inside the reverse hem from Kings equipment manager, Peter Millar, the jersey hails from the collection of Harris Peet, who was the Kings practice goalie and equipment assistant for more than ten (10) years while showing game-wear via stick marks over the front, reverse and both sleeves, board burns over both sleeves, an unrepaired cut near the left hip on the front and pilling on the interior. Accompanied by a MeiGray LOA and COR, the jersey is photo-matched to an included image of Robitaille from the 2001 NHL Yearbook that shows the distinctive loose threads off the bottom of the top arm of the "E" at the end of "Robitaille" on the reverse.
