Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/21/2024
The 82nd season in the long and prosperous history of the Montreal Canadiens, the famed bleu, blanc et rouge of 1990-91 finished the regular season with a record of 39–30–11 and would make the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after knocking off the Buffalo Sabres in round one (1). Seeing future Hockey Hall of Fame inductees Denis Savard, Guy Carbonneau and Patrick Roy don the famous "CH" crest during the year, offered here is this stick signed by approximately twenty-three (23) members of that season's Montreal squad. A Louisville TPS "Authentic Model" goalie stick that is modelled after the ones used during the season by Patrick Roy, a "Roy" stamp appears over the upper shaft with the stick never having been taped and remaining in excellent condition despite wear via some handling and age. Signed by approx. twenty-three (23) over the forehand side of the paddle, heel and blade, all the signatures have been signed in blue marker and appear well while some have faded or smeared over time. Having had "Club De Hockey Canadien 1990-91" penned over the blade in matching blue marker alongside an affixed Canadiens logo sticker, those that have signed the stick include; Roy, Carbonneau, Savard, Turgeon, Svoboda, Corson, Richer, Daigneault, Gilchrist, Dufresne, Odelein, Diduck, Pederson, Keane, Schneider, McPhee, Ewen, Bergeron, Lefebvre, Lebeau, Cassels, Skrudland, Chorske
