Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
The famous Cyclone Taylor is depicted in his Renfrew turtleneck sweater on this colorful C55 card, encapsulated and graded GOOD 2 by PSA. The object of several bidding wars during his career, Taylor was lured to Renfrew by big bucks, with the team becoming known as the "Millionaires." A scoring machine wherever he wowed fans, (194 goals in 186 league games), Taylor earned his "Cyclone" nickname for his speed and furious rushes while with the Ottawa Senators, winning Stanley Cups in Ottawa (1909) and Vancouver (1915). Fantastic card to look at while contemplating the career of one of hockey's legendary figures. A few scratches to the holder are to be noted.
