Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
One of only six NHL players to have scored two Stanley Cup-winning goals, Jacques Lemaire achieved the feat in 1977, and again in 1979. The HOFer would spend his entire NHL career with the Habs, winning eight Stanley Cup championships. This stick used by Lemaire during the twilight of his career in the late-1970s has been signed by Guy Lafleur. A Koho 221 model with "Lemaire" stamped to the upper shaft, "25" is handwritten, with the original black tape to the shaved handle and the blade tape likely removed. The graphics have been somewhat blacked-out, with the stick exhibiting light to moderate use, with the blade darkened but showing minimal wear. Lafleur has signed the lower shaft in ballpoint.
