Regarded by many to this day as the greatest hockey player to ever lace up a pair of skates, the name Gordie Howe is synonymous with the game loved and played by so many across the world. In a career that spanned over five different decades from 1946-71 and 1973-80, fans and players alike will still find Howe’s name near the top of the all-time leaderboards all these years later. Inducted into the hallowed halls of the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972, offered here is this quartet of "Authentic Fabrics" cards from Upper Deck's 2003-04 SP Game Used release that all feature Howe as well as other notable Hockey Hall of Famers who have also had pieces of their game-worn jerseys embedded as well. All having had swatches of material cut from jerseys worn by Howe during his career embedded into the front, each card displays "Mr. Hockey" during his days as a member of the Detroit Red Wings. Paced by a dual-jersey example that includes "The Great One" alongside Howe that is serial numbered "05/99" a quad-jersey gold parallel card that features Howe along with Mario Lemieux, Guy Lafleur and Gretzky is also present, serial numbered "14/21" at the top edge on the front. Rounded out by regular and gold parallel dual-jersey cards of Howe and longtime Detroit captain, Steve Yzerman, that are serial-numbered "05/99" and "03/21" respectively, all of the included cards are found in their original raw ungraded form and remain in excellent condition with just light edge and corner wear observed throughout the group.
