Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction June 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 6/25/2024
Following in the footsteps of past Winnipeggers who have all proudly represented the Chicago Blackhawks including Charlie Gardiner, Bill Mosienko, and the club's first captain Dick Irvin, Jonathan Toews served as the 34th captain in Windy City history, and has led the Blackhawks to a trio of Stanley Cup championships throughout his tenure. A surefire future Hockey Hall of Fame inductee who was originally drafted 3rd overall by Chicago at the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, offered here is this Blackhawks retail model practice jersey signed by the longtime Chicago fan favourite. Made by Adidas, a band displaying both size "54" and "Made in Indonesia" designations is affixed to the inner collar while Adidas logo crests grace the reverse neckline and left breast. Decorated over the front with a rubberized Blackhawks logo inside a white circle of matching style that has "Chicago Blackhawks" spelt out in it, a rubberized captain's "C" is in place over the right breast while "Toews" and his number "19" grace the reverse, also in a rubberized fashion. Displaying an NHL shield logo over the base of the collar and a fight strap on the interior, Toews has signed the reverse with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue. Remaining in overall excellent condition with just a couple of small fabric pulls observed throughout, a JSA Auction LOA will accompany the piece.
