Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011, Ed Belfour was in only his fifth National Hockey League season in 1993-94, already having won two (2) Vezina Trophies as the league's top goaltender, the Calder Memorial Trophy and two (2) William M. Jennings Trophies. Having lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a Stanley Cup Finals appearance in 1992, offered here is this stick wielded by "Eddie the Eagle" during the 1993-94 season. A Cooper made SuperPro model offering in Chicago's red, black and white colours, "Belfour" is stamped over the upper shaft and the stick retains its original white tape job over the blade and handle with white-over-black wrapped around the knob as well. With the Cooper striping accent sticker over the lower part of the paddle still fully intact, the stick exhibits good game-use via stick marks over both sides of the blade tape with more over the frontside of the upper shaft as well. Additionally, the backside of the upper shaft shows numerous red post paint marks as well.
