Drafted by Los Angeles before three strong junior seasons that included scoring 191 points in 1985-86 for Hull in the Q, Luc Robitaille spent the majority of his HOF career in Hollywood as a member of the Kings, spread over three different stints. Offered here is this stick used by Robitaille with Los Angeles circa 1989. A Sher-Wood PMP 7000 model with “Robitaille 20” stamped over the upper shaft, the stick retains its original black tape job over the handle/knob and blade while the foil accent sticker remains largely intact and in place over the lower shaft as well. Displaying a mostly unreadable date stamp on the underside of the heel, the year of "1989" is able to be made out, putting the stick in the 1988-89 season when Robitaille recorded 98 points or the 1989-90 season when he posted 101. Exhibiting game-wear in the form of numerous marks and abrasions throughout with more over both sides of the blade tape, red coloured post paint transfers are seen over the lower shaft and a crack is observed on the underside of the lower shaft as well. Additionally, Robitaille has signed the forehand side of the lower shaft with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue. Also included with the lot, is a CCM "Vintage Hockey" Los Angeles Kings jersey that has been customized as a Robitaille and signed by the 2009 HHOF inductee. A pro on-ice style offering with CCM/Vintage Hockey and size "52" labeling over the inner collar, a CCM logo patch is in place over the reverse hem alongside an embroidered NHL shield logo. Decorated over the front with a vintage style Kings crown crest that features embroidered details throughout, the alternate captain's "A" has been affixed over the left breast while the sleeves and verso have been styled with Robitaille's number "20" in dual layer tackle twill numerals. Having had "Robitaille" spelt out in single layer purple twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate, Robitaille has signed the lower reverse with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue. Remaining in excellent condition with no unsightly flaws, accompanying the pair of items are a pair of new old stock Kings game socks from the early-to-mid-1980s.
