Scoring a career-high 78 points in just his sophomore NHL season in 1986-87 - replicating the total in 1988-89, Esa Tikkanen was an important component to the success of the Edmonton Oilers early in his career. During the 1987 Stanley Cup playoffs, Tikkanen would produce back-to-back two-goal games against Los Angeles, along with the game-winning goal in Game 4 of the Division Semifinals, all en route to the Oilers third championship in just four seasons. This spectacular 1987 Edmonton Oilers Stanley Cup championship 14K gold and diamond ring was presented to Esa Tikkanen. Size 10 1/2 with an approx weight of 31 grams, three big diamonds symbolize the Oilers' third title in four years, surrounded by 16 smaller diamonds on the tableau and “Stanley Cup Champions 1987" spelled out in raised gold around the bezel. "Tikkanen" appears in raised letters above an enameled Oilers logo on the right shank with "10" below, while "Oilers" is displayed on the left shank, with the team's three championship years engraved onto three raised Cups below. The inner band is stamped with "4K" (the "1" isn't noticeable, as it should read "14K"). Showing good wear throughout from use, including a few marks to the interior band along with scratches and edge dings to the outer band and shanks, astute collectors will recognize that this is a rare opportunity to claim an important Stanley Cup ring worn by a notable NHL star. Hailing from Esa Tikkanen's personal collection, his signed LOA will accompany.
