Drafted 9th overall by the St. Louis Blues in 1988 and going on to enjoy an NHL career that spanned the course of twenty (20) seasons, Rod Brind’Amour would suit up in 1484 games over that time with St. Louis, Philadelphia and Carolina, winning a Stanley Cup with the Hurricanes in 2006. Currently serving as Carolina’s bench boss, up for grabs here is this Flyers third jersey worn by Brind’Amour during the 1997-98 season when he put up 74 points in 82 games played. Made by Nike and featuring brand/size "52", "Authentic Collection" and "Made in Canada" tagging affixed to the inner collar, Brind'Amour's number "17" is penned in black ink over the Nike label in the collar and the reverse hem has had both the Nike and NHL shield logos embroidered into it. Decorated over the front with a Flyers team crest in layered tackle twill, the distinguished alternate captain's "A" has been sewn over the left breast. Accented over both sleeves with Brind'Amour's number "17" in dual layer tackle twill numerals, "Brind'Amour" is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Exhibiting good game-wear, stick marks are present through the front crest as well as over both sleeves with the sleeves also displaying board burns over both and red coloured board paint transfer marks on the right one. Showing light fraying around the elbow reinforcements on the interior, the jersey is accompanied by an LOA from Milt Byron of Byron's HockeyLand and is photo-matched with Getty Image #303213 (April 18th, 1998 vs New York) to numerous stick marks through the team crest and over the left sleeve.
