Drafted 106th overall by the San Jose Sharks at the 2001 National Hockey League Entry Draft, Christian Ehrhoff would go on to play 789 games in the NHL split between six (6) clubs over twelve (12) years in the league. Routinely suiting up for his native Germany in international competitions, including at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games where the German squad won a silver medal, offered here is this photo-matched Sabres 40-year anniversary third jersey worn by Ehrhoff during the 2011-12 season. Made by Reebok, a size “56” flag tag is affixed to the inner collar while logos of the NHL and Reebok are found on the front and reverse necklines respectively. Featuring “Buffalo” arching across the chest in individual white felt letters, a 1970 Sabres crest has been placed beneath, with “10” over the sleeves and verso in coarse white felt affixed with cross-pattern stitching. Ehrhoff’s name is spelt out across an affixed yellow airknit nameplate in single layer blue letters. The interior hem of the jersey features Sabres team tagging designating it as an official 2011-12 game jersey with a hologram sticker present above the fight strap. Remaining in beautiful condition, the jersey displays with no discernible signs of game-wear while a stain is present near the left cuff. Having been photo-matched with Getty Image #135731479 (December 9th, 2011 vs Florida) to the loose white thread off the right side of the "1" on the left sleeve, a Collectors Proof COA will accompany the piece.
