Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 2/20/2024
Spending over a dozen seasons in Tampa Bay which included four NHL All-Star Game appearances coupled with the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy in 2007, Vincent Lecavalier was selected first overall by the Lightning in 1998, and had his number retired by the club in 2018. From his time with Philadelphia after Tampa Bay, we have a photo-matched Flyers jersey worn by Lecavalier in 2013-14. A label with “56” sizing is affixed to the collar, with embroidered NHL and Reebok crests on the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the classic “P” Flyers team crest fully administered in tackle twill, the orange V-neck has been accented with dual-colour sleeve and verso numbers, with “Lecavalier” sewn to the white nameplate in single black twill. The jersey shows light use, with a few puck and stick marks to the front and sleeves. There is also some minor discolouration to the nameplate. Getty Images #477915195 (March 5, 2014) and #478858577 (March 11, 2014) have both been matched to the dark mark pattern on the left sleeve. A MeiGray patch numbered “K02162” has been sewn inside the reverse hem, and according to the company’s population report, the jersey is a “Orange Set 2" specimen. A laminated LOA will accompany.
