Registering six 100-point seasons throughout his Hall of Fame career, Joe Sakic possessed one of the greatest wrist shots in the game, and earned a number of awards including the Hart Memorial, Conn Smythe and Lady Byng on top of two Stanley Cups. Moving with the Quebec Nordiques to Colorado for the beginning of the 1995-96 season and winning his first Stanley Cup in the team's first season in "The Mile High City" offered here is this stick used by Sakic in the mid-1990s after the move to Colorado, circa 1995-96 or 1996-97. An Easton T-Flex model twig that shows a "Sakic" stamp over the stem of the inserted Easton wooden blade, the stick retains its original tape job of black cloth over the handle/knob that has been finished with more black tape of a different style at the bottom, the blade tape has been removed to facilitate a black marker ink signature of Joe's that displays flawlessly despite very minor fading from age. Having added an inscription reading "all the best" to the autograph in matching ink, the stick exhibits just light game-wear in the form of a small handful of marks and abrasions that are found throughout the shaft, lower shaft and blade stem while residue of the formerly applied black blade tape can still be seen as well.
