One of the game’s largest players during his tenure at approx 6 ft 7 in, 250 lbs, Hal Gill competed in over 1000 NHL contests along the blueline, with appearances made for six different clubs including Boston, Montreal and Toronto. We have a photo-matched Maple Leafs jersey worn by the Concord native in 2006-07, his first of two seasons in Ontario. A label with “58” sizing is attached to the collar, with Reebok and NHL crests over the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Featuring the club’s famous team crest with “Toronto Maple Leafs” embroidered, “25” appears over the sleeves and verso in tri-colour tackle twill, with matching alternate crests over each shoulder. Regarding condition, most of the wear is relegated to the sleeves, with heavy board burns to each including unrepaired holes to the right shoulder and left elbow, with paint transfer near and over the Leafs crest on the right shoulder. There is also pilling beneath the fight strap. Getty Image #72950538 (Dec 5, 2006) has been matched to the two small holes to the right of the Leafs crest on the right sleeve, with the discolouration over the right side of the Leafs shoulder crest and within the top of the "2" of "25" also showing. A patch from MeiGray numbered “D11557” is situated on the inside hem, and according to their population report, the jersey is a “Blue Set 1” example.
