Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction February 2024

Not saying a single word to each other despite playing on the same line, Maurice Richard and Ted Lindsay were two of the players chosen to represent the NHL All-Stars who competed against the current Stanley Cup-champ Toronto Maple Leafs at the first official NHL All-Star Game, which took place on Oct 13, 1947. This vintage oversized photo that appears period features the 1947 NHL All-Stars. At approx 19" x 28" and attached to a backing (the photo is loose from the backing on the bottom right corner), a number of legendary HOFers are pictured including Maurice Richard, Frank Brimsek, Bill Durnan, Bill Mosienko, Milt Schmidt, Kenny Reardon and others. The photo has a clean surface, with some water staining to the bottom left corner. This magnificent and historically important piece would look stunning framed.
