Making his OHL debut during the 1986-87 season as a member of the Sudbury Wolves, Paul DiPietro would spend all four (4) years of his tenure in the Ontario Hockey League with the Nickel City club, serving as captain during his final season in 1989-90. Drafted by the Montreal Canadiens at the 1990 NHL Entry Draft and scoring twice in Montreal's Cup clinching Game 5 overall the Los Angeles Kings in 1993, offered here is this OHL Wolves jersey worn by DiPietro during his first year of junior hockey in 1986-87. Made by Cooper, washed out brand, washing instructions and CAHA approval tagging is affixed to the inner collar with the washing instructions label also sporting a size "Extra Large" designation while the Cooper logo has been embroidered into the reverse hem. Decorated over the front with a rubberized Wolves team crest that sports some cracking in areas due to wear and age, the sleeves and verso of the all-mesh construction garment have been accented with DiPietro's number "21" in dual layer green-over-yellow rubberized numerals that once again show wear and cracking due to use and age. Sporting a long loop style fight strap on the interior, the jersey shows good game-wear via stick marks over the front and both sleeves while board paint transfer marks decorate the both sleeves and the reverse. Exhibiting additional wear via board board burns and small holes through the first layer of material on both sleeves, a pair of sewn team repairs are observed on the left sleeve with pilling present on the interior. Hailing from his personal collection, an LOA signed by DiPietro will accompany the piece.
