Originally drafted by the Boston Bruins before being traded within days to Montreal, Ken Dryden was first told by his agent that the Habs' did indeed draft him, only to find out midway through his Hall of Fame career that he was originally a Beantown selection. This original painting on canvas feature’s the iconic netminder, and it’s been executed by renowned artist Murray Henderson. A charitable organization supporter and noteworthy for his sports representations, Henderson’s works are accounted for in a number of private and corporate collections throughout Canada, the US and Europe. At approx 21” x 27”, the tall goaltender extraordinaire is perfectly replicated earlier-on in his career amid a wash of colour, complete with his trademark stance, full Habs’ uniform including visible #29 and white pretzel mask. The artist has signed along the upper left in blue, and with no condition issues to note, the canvas will be shipped to the winning bidder rolled and a Classic Auctions LOA will accompany the piece.
