Played as part of the Olympic Games for the first time in 1920 at the spectacle in Antwerp, Belgium, hockey has been part of every Winter Olympic Games since for the mens side with the women's game beginning to be played in 1998, hockey became a truly worldwide affair starting in 1908 with the founding of the International Ice Hockey Federation. Offered here, we present this collection of "Pride of a Nation" autograph cards that were part of Upper Deck's "UD Black" releases in 2008-09 and 2009-10. Each sporting a manufactured patch depicting the flag of the country the featured player hails from as well as their autograph underneath in either gold or silver marker ink, all the on card autographs display beautifully while the cards themselves present in the condition range of EX to EX-MT or better. Featuring the likes of Phil Kessel (USA - "09/25), Joe Mullen (USA - "15/25"), Bobby Clarke (Canada - "21/25") and Ryan Smythe (Canada - "15/25") for the 2008-09 versions of the cards, the 2009-10 editions profile players such as Gordie Howe (Canada - "02/35"), Gilbert Perreault (Canada - "10/35"), Mike Modano (USA - "25/35"), Jarome Iginla (Canada - "26/35"), Mike Richards (Canada - "09/35"), Marty Turco (Canada - "29/35"), Chris Drury (USA - "33/35"), Dany Heatley (Canada - "11/35"), Anze Kopitar (Slovakia - "29/35"), Dion Phaneuf (Canada - "32/35"), Simon Gagne (Canada - "01/35"), Scott Gomez (USA - "11/35") and Cam Ward (Canada - "22/35").
