One of the most dominant dynasties the game of hockey has ever seen, the Edmonton Oilers of the 1980's won a total of five (5) Stanley Cups (1983–84, 1984–85, 1986–87, 1987–88 and 1989–90) with the squad taking six (6) trips to the Stanley Cup Finals over that time. Led by a total of seven (7) Hockey Hall of Fame inductees including Glenn Anderson, Paul Coffey, Grant Fuhr, Wayne Gretzky, Jari Kurri, Mark Messier and Glen Sather, offered here is this collection of twenty-nine (29) Edmonton Oilers O-Pee-Chee hockey cards from the 1980s. Including a good group of notable cardboard, the collection is led by 1980-81 OPC examples in the form of Gretzky's main series 2nd year card that presents in the condition range of EX with a ding seen at the bottom right and his All-Star card from the same set that is seen as being EX-MT to NM. Followed up by two (2) copies of Wayne's 1981-82 OPC card that are seen as EX-MT (tiny amount of fuzz at top left) and VG-EX to EX (two small corner dings) as well as three (3) copies of his 1982-83 main series release that includes two (2) in the scope of EX-MT to NM (one with 80-20 centering) and one around GOOD with damage at the top right, the last of the noteworthy Gretzky cards are found in the form of four (4) copies of his 1983-84 card that are all seen as being EX-MT to NM. Continuing, a copy of Jari Kurri's 1981-82 rookie card is included and found in the form of EX to EX-MT with light corner wear while the key cards are rounded out by three (3) copies of Paul Coffey's 1981-82 first-year cardboard with one in the range of EX-MT to NM, one around EX-MT with 80-20 centering and one in the vicinity of VG to VG-EX that is discoloured at the bottom right. For the rest of the collection, various cards of Oilers stars of the era are included, mostly in mid grade condition.
