Bursting onto the National Hockey League scene with four (4) goals in his first National Hockey League game after being selected 1st overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs at the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Auston Matthews has gone on to become a franchise player for the blue and white, winning a pair of Rocket Richard Trophy's as the league's top goal scorer and a Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL's MVP. Offered here, we present this pair of gloves worn by Matthews during his Calder Trophy winning rookie season of 2016-17. Bauer Nexus 1N models in Toronto's blue and white colour way, "Bauer" is embroidered into the cuff while "Matthews" has been stitched into the wrist. Displaying with good game-wear throughout, rubbing is seen in both palms, heaviest in the left from being his bottom hand. Featuring Auston's number "34" penned in black marker to the palm of each glove as well, the sniper has also added a happy face to the underside wrist guard of each in silver marker. Free from any obscene tears or holes, the thumbs on both gloves have been cut and black stick marks as well as some light soiling is observed on the outside of each gauntlet, with the left one sporting a small tear above the "R" in Bauer on the wrist guard. Having been signed by Matthews on the wrist of each glove with blue ink signatures that displays well, the pair of mittens have been photo-matched with Getty Image #634188190 (February 7th, 2017 vs Dallas) to the black mark above the "E" in "Bauer" of the left glove. A Leafs LOA will accompany the lot
