Playing to a regular season record of 11 wins and 5 losses during the 1954 Western Interprovincial Football Union season and topping the division over the Saskatchewan Roughriders by a single win, the Edmonton Eskimos of that year would keep up the high pace of play during the Grey Cup playoffs, defeating the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the WIFU Finals two (2) games to one (1), the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen in the Grey Cup Semi-Final and finally, the Montreal Alouettes in the 42nd Grey Cup championship game. Offered here, is this 1954 Edmonton Eskimos team-signed photo that has been autographed by thirty-seven (37) members of that year's Grey Cup winning squad. Housed in a simple neutral coloured wooden frame that shows light-to-moderate wear from age around the edges and corners, the black-and-white team photograph, measuring 13 1/4" x 8", is displayed on top of a cream coloured backing with full dimensions measuring out to 19 1/4" x 15". Sporting a "Garneau Studio Edmonton" stamp at the bottom left corner, the piece has been signed by eight (8) deceased members of the Canadian Football Hall of Fame including Jack Parker, Bernie Faloney, Rollie Miles, Frank Morris, Bill Zock, Normie Kwong, Roger Nelson and Eagle Keys. All having signed the piece with blue coloured fountain pen ink in five (5) columns at the bottom of the piece with all the autographs still bold and legible despite their age and some fading. A true relic from one of the greatest team's to ever hoist the Grey Cup, a Classic Auctions LOA will accompany.
