Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023

The wonder boy from Parry Sound, Ontario, Bobby Orr appears here on his desirable 1966-67 Topps rookie card, with this example of card #35 displaying an "Authentic" designation on the label at the top of its KSA holder, who's graders have also made mention on the label of the card having been trimmed at one time as well, appearing to have been along the edge above the young defensemen's head. Displaying excellent colours over the front with just light surface wear on the reverse of the card, a light crease extends towards the middle of the desirable cardboard from the left edge that measures about an inch in length. With light wear to the corners and edges to make you aware of, the write up on the back of the card talks about how Orr "is the most publicized junior in many years and certainly will being one of the future stars in the NHL",...no kidding! Definitely presenting better than what the designation on the label states though hampered by the trimming that bestowed upon it, the card is the card is ideal for anyone wanting an important rookie from a key HOFer on a budget and is an absolute prerequisite to an important Orr/RC collection. Of note, the KSA holder shows a few light scratches and scuffs over both sides that is worth pointing out for accuracy.
