Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/28/2023
One of the best brother duo's to suit up together on the same National Hockey League team, Pete and Frank Mahovlich would be teammates on the Detroit Red Wings from 1967 to 1969 as well as on the Montreal Canadiens from 1971 to 1974 where the pair won Stanley Cups in 1971 and 1972. Also joining forces together on Team Canada at the 1972 Summit Series against the Soviet Union, offered here is this "Signatures Dual" card signed by both brothers that was destined for Upper Deck's special and immensely popular Canadiens Centennial set from 2008-09 offered here but never included in the product. We're not sure why but are certain that Canadiens Centennial card fanatics will be astonished at their sight and the chance to obtain them! Serial numbered "18/50" over the front in gold foil with both brothers having signed alongside their respective images in blue marker ink, both autographs display without issue and present beautifully. Obtained from the Mahovlich family and originating from the Hall of Famer's personal collection, no condition issues are observed and it will come accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from the Mahovlich family - superb!
