Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 11/28/2023
The only Stanley Cup final of the Swinging Sixties to not include either Montreal or Toronto, the 1961 final featured Chicago taking on Detroit, with the series going six games. Bobby Hull and Stan Mikita made their first Stanley Cup appearances. Hull scored two goals in the first game, including the winner, and Mikita scored the winner in game five. We have a Chicago Stadium Stanley Cup finals program issued for wither Game 1, 3 or 5, with this example signed on the cover by 7. With each signature in blue ballpoint, deceased HOFers include Terry Sawchuk, Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, Al Arbour and Pierre Pilote. The signatures display well despite being somewhat bunched-up, with light wear to the program, with the line-ups intact. A JSA Auction LOA will accompany.
