Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction November 2023

Drafted 64th overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning at the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Brad Richard would go on to a National Hockey League career that spanned a total of 1126 games split between Tampa Bay, Dallas, New York, Chicago and Detroit. A two-time Stanley Cup champion and the Conn Smythe Trophy winner in 2004 with the Lightning, offered here is this stick used by Richards as a member of the Dallas Stars. An Easton Synergy model that saw game action during either the 2008-09 or 2009-10 seasons of play, "91 Richards" factory graphics appear over the upper shaft while the twig retains its original tape job of white covered by black cloth over the handle/knob while the black tape that was once wrapped around the blade has been removed to facilitate a silver ink signature that displays well despite some lightness from age. Exhibiting moderate-to-heavy game-use with numerous marks/abrasions seen throughout the shaft as well as residue from a now dried gripping agent that was applied to most of the shaft as well though heaviest near the area where the bottom hand would be, the stick also remains structurally sound and free from any cracks or breaks.
