Remembered for his skilled hands and quick speed, Paul Kariya was selected 4th overall at the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, and made his NHL debut with the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in 1994-95. A seven-time All-Star, Kariya also earned a pair of Lady Byng trophies, and represented Canada internationally including at the 2002 Winter Olympics. This signed stick was used by the superstar in the early-2000s with Anaheim. An Easton Ultra Lite Graphite 100 model that retains its original white cloth tape over the handle/knob, the usually seen black wrapping over the blade has been removed to facilitate a large and bold silver ink signature that displays without issue that Kariya has also dated with a notation reading "2001" in matching ink. Exhibiting just overall light game-use, marks are seen over both sides of the blade with a few additional light marks/abrasions present throughout the shaft as well. Additionally, also included with the stick is a Ducks pro on-ice style jersey signed by Kariya. Made by CCM and sporting both size "52" and "Center Ice Authentic Collection" tags affixed to the inner collar, the Maska Ultrafil label has been removed. Remaining in excellent condition, the front of the jersey is decorated with a Ducks tackle twill team crest that features embroidered details while the sleeves and verso have had Kariya's number "9" sewn to them in stacked tri-layer tackle twill numerals. Having had both the CCM and NHL shield logos embroidered into the reverse hem, "Kariya" is spelt out in single layer white twill letters across the affixed matching nameplate across the top of the reverse. Featuring pro on-ice style elements such as a fight strap and reinforced elbows, Kariya has signed the reverse number "9" with a blue marker ink autograph that displays well despite some minor bleeding/bunching. Finally, a 1996-97 Pinnacle Be A Player card signed by Kariya is included and rounds out the lot. Signed by Paul over the front with a black marker ink signature that displays with some light fading, the cardboard relic is housed in a Pinnacle branded screw down holder that remains in excellent condition with just light scratches while the card on the inside appears to also be in excellent condition after inspection.
