Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction September 2023
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 9/19/2023
Always a favourite with collectors, we have a pair of table top hockey games, including an “All-Star Hockey” model game from Simpsons-Sears and an “NHL Power Play” model made by noted manufacture, Eagle. The Simpsons-Sears game hails from the early-1960s and pits Montreal against Toronto with a complete set of players included albeit showing wear and rusting. Displaying the logos of the Original Six teams over each side, the game measures 18” x 36” x 3 ½” and shows light surface wear with some wear to the sides that shows players from the Original Six teams. The nets and puck are missing and the rods for the goalies are no longer present. Some of the rod tips are also unaccounted for. The Simpsons-Sears “All-Star Hockey” dates to the late-1960’s and includes a scoreboard that is cracked and broken and doesn’t include the nets. Measuring 19 ½” x 35 ¼” x 3 ½”, the sides remain in good condition with one of the plastic feet to prop the table up having gone missing. Some of the rod tips have gone missing with the ones that are present being a mix from other games. A set of players is included for the game but two of the Montreal players are missing. Both games include their original boxes that show heavy wear and tear to the ends and edges with light surface wear.
Please note, it cannot be guaranteed that the games included in the lot are complete and as such are being sold "AS IS" and are ineligible for return. Please note that due to the size of the shipment, special shipping arrangement may be required, with local pick-up preferred.
