Enjoying an especially lengthy pro career despite going undrafted, Dan Boyle dressed for four different clubs and hoisted the Stanley Cup with Tampa Bay in 2004. The Ottawa native also won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. From his sixth and final season in California with San Jose, we have a photo-matched Sharks alternate captain’s jersey worn by Boyle in 2013-14. A label with "56" sizing is affixed to the collar, with NHL and Reebok crests on the front and reverse necklines respectively. Styled with the Sharks team crest in use since 2008-09 that features embroidered detailing, "22" is sewn to the sleeves, chest and verso in layered tackle twill, with "Boyle" across the affixed nameplate in matching material. Alternate crests also grace each shoulder. The team patch sits on the inside hem, and it denotes issued and expiry dates of "9-16-13" and "12-1-13" respectively.
Exhibiting nice game-use with a few puck and stick marks visible over the front and sleeves, there is also some blue paint transfer near the right elbow. Team repairs are also present, with one example on the chest and two material-backed team repairs on the lower right sleeve. There is some pilling on the cuffs and a small slit on the lower left sleeve as well. Getty Image #464170309 (Jan 5, 2014 vs Chicago) has been matched to the pattern of dark marks visible just above the hem near the right seam, with the specific placement of said marks perfectly matching the jersey, while Getty Image #461712589 (Jan 7, 2014 vs Nashville) has been matched to just the team repair present directly to the right of the "22" on the right breast. Lastly, Getty Image #460625191 (Jan 4, 2014 vs Colorado) has been matched to the team repair present directly to the right of the "22" on the right breast, with the extended teal thread at the base of the second "2" of "22" on the right sleeve also showing.
