Known as "Stan the Man", Stan Musial is considered to be one of the most consistent hitters in baseball history, playing 22 seasons for the St. Louis Cardinals. The NL MVP three times, Musial earned enshrinement as a first-ballot inductee into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969. This lot offers a group of Musial signed items totaling eight. Included, there is a group of eight different small TTC cards produced in 1985 with one signed in blue marker (all 2 1/4" x 3 1/4"), 4 vintage media photos (7" x 9" to 8" x 10"), including two with dual images of Musial batting (International News stampings on the reverse, all signed in blue sharpie), one of Musial with Red Schoendienst (signed) and Ed Kazak dated 1950 with notations and news clippings on the reverse, and one of Musial with Whitey Kurowski and Danny Litwhiler, with news caption on the reverse. Lastly, there are three magazines signed on each cover by Musial in blue sharpie, including Baseball Stars No 1 from 1949, the 1952 Baseball Pictorial Yearbook and Aug 1950 Sport Life (each magazine shows moderate wear).
