Regarded as the greatest d-man ever to patrol NHL blue lines, Bobby Orr won a staggering eight straight Norris Trophy’s as the league’s best defenseman between 1968 and 1975, and was enshrined in the HOF at just 31 years-of-age. A two-time Stanley Cup champion in 1970 and 1972, offered here is this collection of Orr hockey cards from various Topps releases dating from 1967-68 to 1977-78. Paced by a copy of card #314, the "Bruins Team Leaders" from the 1975-76 Topps set that has been inspected and slabbed by PSA, the graders have deemed it worthy of a high-grade NM-MT 8 designation while light scratches and scuffs are present over both sides of the holder worth mentioning for accuracy. For the raw cards, the collection is spearheaded by 1967-68 specimens of cards #118 and #128, Orr's Calder Trophy (corner wear) and All-Star releases that are in the grade scope of VG-EX to EX and EX-MT to NM conditions respectively. Also including a creased copy of Bobby's 1968-69 Topps Puck Push Out insert card that is in the range of G to VG condition, also included are his 1969-70 (light border wear) and 1970-71 (corner wear) cards that are around EX to EX-MT and VG to VG-EX condition, a 1970-71 Topps Sticker Stamp insert (VG-EX to EX), a 1970-71 Deckle Edge Insert (G to VG - creased), 1971-72 Topps #100 (VG-EX to EX), 1972-73 Topps #100 (VG-EX to EX - small corner dings), 1972-73 Topps insert crest card (EX to EX-MT), 1973-74 Topps #150 (EX to EX+ - slightly off-center on top) and finally, a copy of Bobby's last Bruins card, from the 1975-76 Topps set that is seen as being in the vicinity of EX to EX-MT condition. For the rest of the collection, including numerous leaders, trophy winners and all-star examples as well as a couple of Bobby's cards that picture him as a member of the Chicago Black Hawks, most are in a good mid-grade range of VG to VG-EX with some a bit better and some a bit worse. Additionally, also included are nine (9) cards of players such as Howe, Hull, Beliveau and Dryden that date from 1968-69 to 1977-78 that are all in low-grade condition.
