Playing all but two of his career games played in his native country of Russia, Rail Rozakov, who was drafted 106th overall by the Calgary Flames in 1999, would make his North American debut with a pair of contests for the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League during the 2003-04 season. Offered here, is this Lock Monsters jersey worn by Rozakov. Made by SP with brand and size “56” labeling affixed to the inner collar, an SP logo patch has been sewn over the reverse hem while AHL league crests adorn the reverse neckline and hem respectively as well. Coming to us with an interesting past, the jersey, showcasing a team tag from the 2002-03 season sewn inside the reverse hem, was likely worn during that year by Jeff Daw (51 games), Troy Ferguson (6 games – wore both number 11 and 12) and John Campbell (2 games). Decorated over the front with a Lock Monsters team crest that features embroidered details, residue of a removed alternate captain’s “A” is present over the left breast while matching Carolina Hurricanes alternate logos reside over each shoulder. Having had Rozakov’s number “11” sewn to the sleeves and verso in dual layer tackle twill numerals, “Rozakov” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Of note, evidence of at least one former nameplate is present over the reverse. riddled with game-wear, stick marks, board burns and multiple team repairs are observed over both sleeves while addition board burns and stick marks are present throughout the body.
