Originally drafted 71st overall by the Dallas Stars in 2005, Richard Clune, affectionately known around the rink as “Rich” or “Dicky”, would enjoy a career that spanned 139 National Hockey League games and 423 American Hockey League contests. A Calder Cup champion with the Toronto Marlies in 2018, offered here is this Marlies St. Patrick’s Day jersey worn by Clune during the 2021-22 season. Made by CCM, AHL/CCM and size “54” labels are affixed to the inner collar alongside a heat pressed Marlies team inventory barcode while CCM logos are found screened to the reverse neckline and hem. Decorated over the reverse hem with an AHL league patch, a special St. Patrick’s Day themed Marlies team crest with embroidered details is found over the front while the distinguished captain’s “C” resides over the left breast with a Scotiabank sponsorship patch over the right. Accented over the sleeves and verso with Clune’s number “17” in single layer green twill numerals, “Clune” is spelt out in matching style across the affixed matching nameplate. Having been worn in just a single game, the jersey exhibits no obvious signs of game-wear or obtrusive marks. Having been signed over the “7” on the reverse with a black marker ink signature that displays without issue, an AHL Authentic patch has been added over the fight strap on the interior and an AHL COA will accompany the piece.
